Connection integration for eve. Query and edit Sanity content, inspect schemas, and manage releases.

## Install

Add the connection from eve's registry. This writes the initial definition under `agent/connections/` and installs its authentication dependency when needed:

```bash
eve add connection/sanity
```

## Quick start

Create `agent/connections/sanity.ts`:

```ts
import { connect } from "@vercel/connect/eve";
import { defineMcpClientConnection } from "eve/connections";
export default defineMcpClientConnection({
  url: "https://mcp.sanity.io",
  protocolVersionDiscovery: false,
  description:
    "Sanity: query content with GROQ, edit documents, inspect schemas, and manage releases.",
  auth: connect("sanity/sanity"),
});
```

Sanity requires the `initialize` handshake, so keep `protocolVersionDiscovery: false`. See [MCP protocol discovery](/docs/connections/mcp#configure-protocol-discovery).

Each authenticated user authorizes their Sanity account in the browser before the first tool call.

## Configure

Link your project, register the MCP connector, and pull OIDC locally:

```bash
vercel link
vercel connect create sanity --name sanity --connection-method mcp
vercel env pull
```

The MCP method registers the OAuth client automatically. Sign in with a Sanity account that has access to the projects and datasets your agent needs, and copy the returned connector UID into `connect()`.

The MCP server can edit and publish content; use [tool filters and approval gates](/docs/connections/mcp#tool-filters) to control these actions.
